Power Design has recently introduced three new series of sectionalizing cabinets which are similar in design to steel cabinets. The units can be either direct buried or padmounted and can be used to replace existing steel units. The CJP-66 and CJP-82 accommodate 200A or 600A junctions with u-straps at 15/25KV. The CJP-84 is 5” deeper to accommodate a 600A junction/elbow interface with a 200a elbow piggy backed. All three units are available as direct buried in the company’s three heights, 41”, 50’, and 56” or as a 30” high padmount cabinet.

All the cabinets have provisions for 2, 3, or 4-Way junctions and (8) parking clips mounted in-line. Standard features include fiberglass construction that’s strong, light weight, and corrosion free; unique step design for additional strength in ground; UV stabilized gelcoat; fire retardant fiberglass that does not support combustion; and a removable top in the “full open” position by use of SS slip joint hinges. All exterior hardware is 316 stainless steel.
